In our last blog, we talked about our Lexington Music Awards Nomination. Unfortunately, we didn't win the group award we were up for, buuuuuut, our very own Emily Miller won the award for String Player of the Year!! (Go Emily!)
We also got to hang with a bunch of super cool other cats from around the Lexington and surrounding areas, and saw some old friends as well. So all-in-all, pretty dope.
The next big thing that has happened recently, is that we were selected to participate in The Backroads Tour, a band competition held here in town at The Burl (fantastic venue), wherein the
winner of the competition get's a slot at The Backwoods at Mulberry Mountain Music Festival. The show took place on March 4th, and this time, we actually did win!! So we're headed to Barkansas (woof) next month, baby!! (could be some shows being lined up along the way, but that remains to be confirmed...stay tuned).
Lastly, we got together with some friends over at Anagram Media (Christopher Wheeler and Ali Garey), and pulled together our first ever NPR Tiny Desk Contest submission. We are really happy with how the video turned out, we recorded our song Keyhole. If you want to check it out, you can do so here.
